DAY4: REDO BOOK COVER

I know I was suppose to finish DAY3 and I am behind but I am going to catch up this weekend! WOOT!! Day 4 was redo a book cover. I decided to do Where the Wild Things Are and I know this is a little bit blasphemous to some but this book has influenced me a great amount through out my life, I was saddened to hear of his passing. He brought happiness and inspiration to many.

DAY 2: IMAGINARY FRIEND

DAY 2: IMAGINARY FRIEND

I tried a different application style with photoshop this time. I had so many ideas for this one, it seems to be my biggest weakness with art....I just get too many ideas :)!

Mila Kunis

I'm really enjoying my adventure with painting in Photoshop as a traditional medium :) I was pretty amped by the results of my Michael Pitt painting that I decided to paint another one! The loverly Mila Kunis! She is a pretty one she is and I believe I caught a pretty good likeness. I have a few more celebrities I would like to paint, so I think I will make an effort to start one every time I finish one, suggestions/requests are most welcome!

SIR Michael PItt

Those of you who know me, I tend to work a lot! :P On my days off  I spend my time doing commissions and working part time at one of my favorite art stores, UTRECHT! I don't often bump into celebrities and on the occasions that I have, I have been polite and often don't even acknowledge their fame. About 2 weeks ago I had the privilege to assist the the lovely Michael Pitt. It was a quiet day and he spent a long time contemplating his purchase. It was nice just experiencing him as himself and not the publicist recommended "Michael Pitt". Although my co-workers teased me for my silly smile I retained for the remainder of the shift I do believe it was more of a secret moment especially with no one else recognizing him but also because my co-workers were unaware as well. I'd like to say that I don't become a "fan-girl" from time to time, but I do enjoy his movies and yes...his adorable face.
I've been wanting to do a serious painting in Photoshop, so I decided that Michael Pitt would be a great subject. I'm a bit rusty but I can probably count the amount of serious digital paintings I have done in Photoshop on one hand. Most of the painting I do is traditional and even though I attended Art School for media art, I still have not done much painting in Photoshop that has not been mostly flat colors or non traditional.  I hope that this becomes a frequent art medium for me, I actually really enjoyed doing it. I believe I need to work more with Photoshop as a painting medium, it's still something I believe I have yet to master, but I have confidence that one day it will just slap me in the face and then I'll laugh at the days I ever struggled.
